This hotel provides excellent value for money. A great location to explore Kilkee and walk on the beach. A very good full Irish breakfast provided a great start to the day.

The Kilkee Bay Hotel was awful we had booked to stay for 2 nights. Only stayed for 1 if we hadn't been so tired we wouldn't have stayed the first night!... We are a family with 3 children, and the family room was disgusting damp, dirty windows, dust everywhere from lamp shades to skirting boards, filthy bathroom it was just yuk! And to top it all the manager/owner is rude with no customer service skills at all would never stay again and will warn people not to stay there!!!!

Good value , no frills hotel. Staff ever so helpful
Could not fault this hotel. Great value for a family holiday. We had breakfast included in our rate , it was delicious...staff were very courtious even if they felt run of their feet as every one seems to arrive about the same time for breakfast!!!

I found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming.
I was staying in the hotel with my eight month old son and unfortunately the room was above the bar and we could hear the band that was playing. Also, I thought it was a bit noisy overall, and the rooms could do with being soundproofed!

Good location, and appeared to have some facilities for kids
The hotel is tired,we arrived at lunchtime and went to partake of bar food in the hotel bar, which by the way the way is well appointed. The food and service left a lot to be desired,it reminded us of an episode of "Fawlty Towers". I ordered soup and a toasted special sandwich,my wife a plain chicken sandwich and tea. My soup arrived and was lukewarm and tasted of something that I could not fathom, certainly not chicken noodle as described on the menu. The toasted special consisted of some chopped lettuce and a small bit of tomatoe in toast. My wifes plain chicken sandwich was offered on stale bread. Needless to say we returned the items and their replacements were a little better. We did not partake of any food items in this establishment

It was close to the town for some excellent restaurants and pubs. The location was good for us as it was near sea and some stunning coast. The few young waitresses were friendly, and always worked with a smile on their faces.
Dislikes. Food. Bedroom damp. Not the most welcoming front of house.

We had a nice stay here. The staff were friendly and the room was spacious and clean. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the main town and beach.
The breakfast was limited (full Irish or cereal) but tasty, however it was chaotic when the breakfast room was full, and even when it wasn't, it didn't seem particularly organised. It wasn't a very quiet hotel, there was little soundproofing between the rooms, and we could hear children screaming on the street as they played outside.

Rooms were very basic, smell of smoke from room and corridor. En-suite was disgusting, mold behind toilet bowl and down side of shower. For the buffet breakfast there was only some boxes of cereal, tinned mandrin oranges & tinned grapefruit segments. I asked for porridge, they had none, fry was cold. Managment not very friendly when I complained. Will not be going back there.

It has a lovely friendly atmosphere and the staff were all very helpful. We ate in the hotel two of our nights and the food was excellent. The bar in hotel is lovely and we enjoyed relaxing in it a few evenings. We were able to bring our little dog with us which was a bonus.
